Set up Area Planning from Job Production Scheme

Goal

Modify area planning via job production scheme lines.

Procedure

The Job card contains, among others, the production scheme lines. The Position Code (Current) field in these lines is provided with an AssistEdit button. Pressing this button will, in turn, bring up the Job Area Lines page. On this page, area planning can be modified by editing the following fields:

1. Change Position Code.
2. Quantity.
3. Quantity (Base).
4. Carrier Code.

Note: New area planning lines can be added, and existing lines may also be deleted.

At the bottom of the screen three fields display the following information:

1. Planned Quantity: quantity initially planned.
2. Qty. Scheduled: the increase or decrease in quantity as opposed to that initially planned will be reflected here.
3. Qty. to be Scheduled: the difference between the newly planned quantity as opposed to that initial planned will be displayed here.

Note: The Qty. to be Scheduled must reach a zero value after changes have been made to be acceptable. Otherwise, the value here would be displayed in red and the system will issue an error message. Hence, the newly planned and the initially planned quantities must be identical.
