The Web Client

Goal

This document describes the new features and improvements related to the Web Client introduced in the 2024 R1 version based on BC24.

What is new

Microsoft has always prioritized user experience, and this release is no exception. To improve the resolution of setup issues, Microsoft introduced a direct link in the error message to navigate to the setup.

Microsoft introduced the modern action bar feature previously. Until now, it was an optional feature you could turn on by choosing All Users in the Enabled for column on the Feature Management page. With the 2024 release wave 1, the modern action bar is automatically enabled for all users. If users prefer the old navigation bar, they can still revert to the legacy terms and layout by selecting the Legacy Action Bar in My Settings.

It is easier than ever to share the error details with a co-worker if you should run into an issue you need help with.

Also, the date picker has been improved. It is now much easier to select a date, aligning it with other online Microsoft products.
